How to create a chart for a single subsidiary when reporting at the parent

Chart or graph one entity, subsidiary, or single company in a consolidated group; filter dashboard charts, graphs, and KPIs by entity or legal entity.

When you log in at the parent, dashboards show consolidated results across the whole group by default.

This article shows you how to build a chart that displays a single subsidiary — or any combination of entities — so you can track each entity's performance without leaving the consolidated view.

To create a chart which is filtered by subsidiary or shows subsidiaries side by side or as separate lines:

  1. Go to Dashboards (top bar) and select an existing chart or create a new one.
  2. Click the three dots at the top right of an existing chart, then Configure Chart. To start from a blank chart instead, click Add a Chart — see How to create a new chart.
  3. In the left sidebar, click the series you want to point at the subsidiary, or add a new series.
  4. Use the Metric dropdown to select the data for the series — revenue, EBITDA, or any other account or metric. See How to customize a chart for the full set of series options.
  5. Use the Filter by subsidiary dropdown to select the subsidiary you want to chart. Select All subsidiaries to return the series to consolidated data.
  6. Rename the series (Chart Name & Settings) so the entity is clear in the legend, for example "Revenue — UK entity".
  7. Click Save.

To create a stacked bar chart or a pie chart which splits the data by subsidiary, use Show details. See below example of a stacked column chart (Display type, Stacked) with detail by subsidiary.
