This article explains how to move between the consolidated group and the individual companies within it using the company dropdown at the top right of every ScaleXP page, so you can review group-level results one moment and drill into a single entity the next.

How the company selector works

Once your consolidated organization is connected (see How to connect a new organization (consolidated)), ScaleXP lists the parent company and each of the entities underneath it in one dropdown. The company shown in the dropdown is the company you are currently working in: every report, dashboard, chart and settings page reflects that company until you pick another one.

Selecting the parent company shows the consolidated view, with all entities combined, intercompany balances eliminated and figures translated into the group's reporting currency (see FX rates: What foreign exchange rate is being used?). Selecting an individual entity shows that entity's own data in its own currency.

1. Open the company selector

1. Look at the dark header bar at the top of any ScaleXP page.
2. Click the company name in the top right, between Settings and Help.
3. The list opens, with a tick next to the company you are currently viewing.

2. Choose the company or group you want to view

1. Click the parent company at the top of the list to see consolidated results for the whole group.
2. Click any entity listed beneath the parent to switch to that individual company.
3. Use the arrow to the left of an entity to expand it and reveal any companies grouped underneath it.
4. The page refreshes to show the selected company, and the name in the header updates so you always know which company you are looking at.

The selection follows you as you move around ScaleXP, so you can open a report, dashboard or the customers tab and it will show the company you selected. 3. Find a company quickly with search

1. Open the company selector.
2. Type part of the company name in the search box at the top of the list.
3. Click the matching company to switch to it.

This is the fastest route when you have access to many entities or several consolidated groups.
