How to format a report

Format a whole report or individual rows — colors, borders, indents, decimals, currency, and number display.

This article explains how to format a report in ScaleXP, either the whole report at once or individual rows.


Format an entire report

To format an entire report on the Reports tab, use the Format button at the top right of the page.

Select from the options shown.

  • Add a % of revenue column
  • Show general ledger account numbers
  • Show in thousands
  • Set decimal places
  • Show expenses as negatives
  • Show negatives in brackets
  • Change currency
  • Show or hide the currency symbol

Format individual rows

To format individual rows, use Edit, then click on the row to be edited.

Clicking on the row will reveal further options.

Click to reveal further options for this metric

Use the T icon to change the name of the metric / label the row.

Change decimal places for the row

Format the row.

  • Add color (choose color)
  • Add borders (choose line style)
  • Indent (3 levels)
  • Bold / unbold

Delete the row
