How to fix a Xero Connection Error in ScaleXP Invoicing

Sometimes Xero gets disconnected from ScaleXP Invoicing, leading to an error message saying "Connection Error."  This can be either an issue in your user permissions or connections, or an issue from the Xero side. If the issue is a lost connection on your side (for example, because your user permissions have changed or someone has disconnected the app from Xero), here is how to reconnect:

  • Login to the ScaleXP invoicing dashboard:  app.scalexp-invoicing.com/
  • Select "Accounting" on the left sidebar;
  • Click on "Reconnect" for your Xero account;
  • You may be asked to re-login to Xero.  Just do so and follow the prompts.
  • Then just reload the HubSpot pages and the error message should disappear.
