If your budget does not upload, check for the following common issues:

1. One or more cells contain formulas or other non-numeric characters.

To fix/prevent:  Always copy & paste values prior to uploading to ensure only numeric values or blanks are uploaded.

2. You are uploading a budget on a previously downloaded template and something has changed.  (This could be different account groupings, a new account or many other things).

To fix/prevent: Always download a new template and make changes to it, then upload.  Hint: use the "Update or reload" button at the right of existing budgets to use them as a base, then choose to either load as a new budget or as an update to the existing one.

3. You have accidentally made a change to the downloaded template such as adding or deleting a row or column.

To fix/prevent: Ensure you add data to the downloaded template without making other material changes to it.
