This article explains how to change a chart including:

• how to add budgets
• how to change data sources
• how to add new data
• how to adjust titles
• how to change colours
• how to edit formats
• how to change date ranges
• how to show/hide numbers
• how to show/hide summary results

To customise charts and graphs go to Dashboards (top bar)> three dots (top right of the chart to be edited)>Configure Chart.

This will bring up a sidebar at the left that shows each series in the existing chart.

Edit a chart series

Click on the series you wish to edit or delete.   You will then see options like the below for the series.

• Change the colour of the data series.  (box at left of name)  Click on the coloured box to the left of the series name to change the colour of the data series.  Select a colour from the dropdown menu or type in your preferred Hex number. Or see How to change the colours in a chart or graph 
• Rename the series.  (Series title) Rename any data series to any name of your choice, unless “show detail” is turned on.  The chart Series name is locked when “show details” is selected, as shown below, in which case all labels are taken from the detail and can be edited elsewhere in the system.
• Select a new data source or formula (Metric)  
  • use the dropdown menu to select data from your accounting system, CRM, or ScaleXP data from the Metrics Library, Customer page, etc.   Where relevant, select which report to use for that metric.
  • Create or change a formula. You can find all of this information in the Metric Library, or see  What is the ScaleXP Metric Library? 
• Select display type (column, line, or stacked column)
• Select Budget or Actuals
• Show numbers - Toggle to show numbers in display or not.
• Show details: Toggle to show data details (subcategories) or not – if selected, this will include the data grouping below the main one chosen in the drop down menu (side by side, as separate lines, or stacked – depending on the chart type chosen).
• Use Custom expanded to adjust the date range for the series.
• Delete data series. Click the "trash can" icon to delete the selected data series.

Chart Name & Settings

Move the top button to Chart Name & Settings (top section; right button) to:

• Rename the chart: Chart Name (top box)>type in new name
• Select whether or not to show a summary at the top
  • Show or hide the summary KPIs at the top of the chart: Show summary results at top (toggle on/off).  
  • Change the content of the summary results at the top:  Use drop down menu and cog icon to edit the content of the summary information at the top of the chart. 
• Change the left Y axis label: Optional Left Y axis Label (type text in box)
• Set the Y axis to start at zero or to start in line with the data set: Always show zero on left Y-axis (toggle on/off)
• Change between monthly, quarterly, full year and year to date:  Chart period (dropdown menu: Month, Quarter, Year)
